Jayne Azzopardi has been with Nine for 14 years and is currently co-host of Weekend Today. She has also been a journalist for 25 years.
Jayne joined 9News in 2009 as a political journalist in Canberra. In her time there she covered two elections and three leadership changes, before joining the Sydney newsroom in 2011.
Jayne regularly covered breaking news and big news stories across Australia and around the world – from natural disasters to Hollywood red carpets and royal tours. She also works as a presenter across Nine News bulletins, and has been with Weekend Today since 2016.
Jayne studied journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney, before moving to Wagga Wagga to start her career as a journalist at WIN News. Before joining Nine, she worked for international news organisations including ITN, BBC, CNBC and Al Jazeera.
In 2023, Jayne was announced as the host of Weekend Today alongside Clint Stanaway.
