Tara Rushton

Tara Rushton is a key member of the Fox Sports Australia Hyundai A-League coverage. Tara is also the host of W-League, the top division of the women’s soccer league in Australia.

Tara has injected a fresh touch to Fox Sports extensive coverage of the Hyundai A-League, Asian-Champions League, FFA Cup, Barclays Premier League and Socceroos matches.

From weekly pitch-side reporting, Tara also hosts Just For Kicks – a lighter look at the world of football LIVE every Thursday night alongside Archie Thompson, Robbie Slater and Daniel McBreen and Foxsports weekly football wrap show, Sunday Shootout, next to Mark “Bozza” Bosnich, John Kosmina and Ned Zelic.

Tara has also worked extensively on Fox Sports News, where she has covered The 2014 World Cup and most recently Brazil 2016 – Olympic Morning Updates which she produced and presented alongside Olympic experts: Geoff Heugill, Matt Shirvington, Steve Carfino, Shane Heal, Jana Pittman, Rachael Sporn, Elise Rechichi and David Crawshay.

Since joining Fox Sports Tara has shown her diversity working across various sports. She presented Rugby League countdown show 13 to 1 alongside Braith Anasta, has worked across the UFC presenting weekly magazine program UFC Tonight and become the leading female Darts host presenting the Tab Touch Perth Darts Masters LIVE and Melbourne Unibet Darts Masters over the past 3 years.

Prior to 2013, Tara spent some time pursuing her career abroad which enables her to bring an international perspective to her work. Her passion for the world game is unquestionable having worked in and around the sport for years including a presenting role in Singapore, focusing on the English Premier League. That passion doesn’t end in front of the camera; she is one of two strikers for the Gordon Geckos amateur soccer club.

Perth born Tara grew up on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria before moving to Sydney where she completed a Diploma in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Media and Communications. Her studies provided her with a solid foundation for her professional media career as a writer and on-air presenter.

Not only is Tara talented behind the camera, but also regularly contributes to Four Four Two Magazine in Singapore, to content on the Fox Sports Australia website and has completed a book on successful Entrepreneurs titled The Will to Win, which provides practical advice from leading entrepreneurs to ignite and encourage the entrepreneurial passion within.

Having worked internationally as a host, reporter, MC and writer, Tara not only brings a wealth of experience and knowledge but an infectious enthusiasm to all that she does.
