Deborah Clay

Deborah is a highly experienced and dynamic broadcast journalist. As the National News Director for Australian Radio Network, Deborah Clay oversees news for the Pure Gold and KIIS networks and presents the drive news for both KIIS 1065 and WSFM 101.7.

With her unwavering dedication to radio journalism, Deb has reported from the scene for numerous breaking news stories and events. This sustained contribution to journalism was certainly recognised when Deborah received the Brian White Memorial Award at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards.

In addition to her contribution to radio, Deborah is a regular panelist on Channel 7’s Sunrise and ABC’s The Drum, discussing and dissecting the latest in news and current affairs. In other media, Deb has also written columns for The Daily Telegraph, SMH and The Sun-Herald.

In this rapidly evolving media landscape, Deborah has been a passionate advocate for ensuring that radio news maintains the pace required to be a vital source of information. Deb was a key driver in the development of the Brian White Scholarship, which was embraced and implemented by Commercial Radio Australia.

Deborah is the Ambassador for the charity “A Friend’s Place” which provides counselling for grieving children and is a relatable and warm MC for charity and corporate events.
