Andrew O'Keefe

Host of the Seven Network’s top rating Deal or No Deal, co-anchor of the successful Weekend Sunrise, and host of The Rich List, Andrew O’Keefe is one of Australia’s most versatile performers.  He added another program to the list in 2008 his own show and new format on the Seven Network’s HD channel – an improv chat show “This is Your Laugh” .

Recognised for his sharp wit, improvisation skills, energy and warmth, Andrew is a host, actor, radio talent, and he also studied Law, following in the footsteps of his father, the former Supreme Court Judge Barry O’Keefe.  But his passion for entertaining took over to become an obvious career path. Andrew also studied as a classical singer and proof that entertainment really is in his blood is the fact that his uncle is Australian rock and roll legend Johnny O’Keefe.

Andrew’s quick wit, love of comedy and ability to improvise took him to Canada where he won the World Improv  Championships. His television career kicked off performing in the Big Bite on Channel Seven. In conjunction with his current hosting roles with the network, Andrew as has also hosted live prime time specials including Ultimate Transformations, the tri-network Tsunami Appeal – Reach Out to Asia, and co-host with Rove McManus and Eddie McGuire for the 2005 Logie Awards.  He was nominated “Best New Male Talent” in the 2004 Logie Awards. 

As a popular media personality and guest host, Andrew  is a  radio favourite having been a regular fill in on Triple M’s drive show The Shebang, and has fill-in hosted the breakfast show Jonesy and Amanda on WSFM  as well as breakfast on  Mix 106.5, and popping up with Fifi Box on her Saturday morning Fox FM show.

On a personal note, Andrew is Chairman of the National Leadership Group of White Ribbon Day (the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women).  Andrew and his wife Eleanor have two children, Barnaby James and Rory Ignatius.
